(A Life Purpose Facilitator is a graduate who has completed Level Three of our ministry training. Level Three is a prerequisite to Levels Four and Five.)

Biography: Katie Brazelton, Ph.D.Katie B.

Dr. Katie Brazelton brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to Life Purpose Coaching(TM) and Intensive 2-Day Facilitating as a bestselling author of the Pathway to Purpose(TM) series for women ( Pathway to Purpose book and audio, Praying for Purpose, Conversations on Purpose, and Pathway Personal Journal ). She has earned a Ph.D. in Human Behavior/Leadership, a Masters of Divinity, an M.A. in Educational Administration (with a Secondary Teacher's Credential and Principal's Lifetime Certification), and an M.A. in English.

Background

As the Founder of Pathway to Purpose Ministry, Katie has an international client base of Christian women who seek her advice. She also trains Life Purpose Telephone Coaches and "2-Day Intensive" Life Purpose Facilitators. She is a monthly contributor to an online magazine, www.purposedrivenlife.com, and she has been interviewed on this topic for numerous radio shows, such as Jim Burn's Homeword and Moody's Midday Connection - as well as for such publications as Today's Christian Woman and www.pastors.com. She has been a Small Group leader and has discipled women for years, helping them discover their ministry and life mission.

Until most recently when her book obligations began to heighten, Katie was a licensed minister at Saddleback Church, the Director of Women's Bible Studies, Director of Saddleback Church Seminary, and Administrative Faculty for Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Her previous roles included Director of Research for Dr. Rick Warren, Director of Public Relations for a multi-million-dollar medical laboratory, and Vice President of Curriculum Development for an ethics education company. In addition, Dr. Brazelton taught English classes at local colleges for five years.

Katie is represented by Ambassador Speakers Bureau and is thoroughly enjoying getting to meet women from around the world. She has two adult children and a daughter-in-law; they all reside and enjoy each other's company in southern California. She is thrilled that her first grandbaby is expected this June!

Katie now spends a great many of her days talking with women about their God-given dreams, passions, and purposes. Her calling to help women discover their life purposes led her to Calcutta to talk to Mother Teresa about joy; to Belfast as a guest of Ireland's Nobel Peace Laureate to discuss inner peace; and to the tiny island of Malta to study St. Paul's time of shipwreck. She is particularly drawn to "broken," authentic women who are ready to lead surrendered lives; women who have experienced hardship and trials - and have decided to let God use it all for good; and women leaders who are willing to obey God in order to become "oaks of righteousness - a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor" (from Isaiah 61:3).
